Lead Parent Partnership Award

We at Balby Carr are committed to achieving the Lead Parent Partnership Award. LPPA provides a challenging framework to enable schools to strengthen their partnership with parents and carers. It is a developmental process which, through the involvement of parents, aims to enhance children's life chances at all stages from nursery to secondary. We are proud to announce that the LPAA was awarded to the School in March 2010.

LPPA supports the delivery of the Every Child Matters and Extended Schools agendas.

You can find a poster detailing our aims for working with parents here.

For more information on the LPAA, you can visit the LPAA Website.

Your Childs Education

We believe that working closely with parents is essential if pupils are to achieve their potential. Good communication is vital and we send out regular reports and hold consultation evenings. Parents are encouraged to contact the school to discuss any issues relating to their child's progress and welfare, and all pupils receive a planner, which is a useful means of communication between school and home. We also run workshops for parents, offering advice on how to help their children learn.

The school has a thriving Parent Teacher and Friends Association, which meets regularly to give active support to the school and community.

We understand you may have many questions about your child's education at Balby Carr and have put together a list of commonly asked questions, you can view the common questions here but if you have another question please do not hesitate to contact us.
